hey all – i know i have been m.i.a recently – so sorry about that – i was busy putting together jayneweddings.com – check it out! My goal for Jan. was to figure out what the men and women of my wedding will be wearing. I love them all so much and I want them all to look awesome, while still feeling like themselves. For our whimsical..farmy..lovefest of a wedding I have been dreaming up table runners made of burlap and lace. Well absolutely NO ONE makes these, so I have started thinking of making them. In my research for the perfect burlap and the ever so perfect lace I stumbled upon this wedding and almost died. Someone else made these. I have been trying to contact her, but with no avail. So who has a sewing machine…I dont need one for every table What do you think? Picture khaki linens with these on top!

Ok Ladies, so about a week ago Jordan and I went to the Jcrew wedding store and I got my grimy hands on their bridesmaid dresses…and almost puked - the pink was not a subtle amazing pink, it was barbie pink, and the peach was not pretty AT ALL. The personal shopper told me that their new colors come out in Jan. so I will patiently sit and wait until then, keep your fingers crossed that someone who is not colored blind picks the seasons color palette. Anywho…while preusing the internet I found this lovely pic – i love the mix of colors! They are by all different designers but all made out of the same material. What do you think? If you could choose any color to wear – what would it be? Also do you prefer long or short dresses? The colors in the pic are what I am going for – so please don’t say green…ahem lauren sprenkle.

So a few of you may have noticed ( or called me on the phone freaking out) I have not posted for a whole MONTH! I am in the midst of a crazy wedding season and with everything at work there is no time for blogging and fun wedding planning. I have still been pulling little treats and ideas from all over and I think I have finally found a photo of the colors/outfits I like. Here are just a few, let me know your thoughts! Yeah! We finally found the perfect photographer. He is from Pittsburgh but grew up near Philly! We love how during our first meeting he explained the detail and passion behind each picture. This is not normal wedding photography, its art. We can’t wait to work with him, check out his work here.

This past week we were back on the east coast and J FINALLY got to check out Riverdale Manor and we got to taste the food. (Which is prob why he wanted to go in the first place) We are really happy with the food and can’t wait for everyone to taste it. We will be going with a chick or veg-head meal. Trust me the veggie dish is AWESOME. The best part about the day was having my other maid of honer come with me! Thanks Sarah!

So a little while ago I told you about using potted plants instead of flowers to eco-ize your wedding. Here are some cute ideas – as placecard holders, or favors! I love love love succulant love- the owners are so creative and they used these little babies for EVERYTHING in their wedding! This couple is so awesome – they own a plant shop, a cupcake shop and a design studio- uh can I get in on that- awesome!

So I know many of you have heard that I have finally purchased “the dress” – it was actully much easier then expected and instead of driveing all over baltimore we got to chill on the back patio at Hightops and drink some orange crushes- (which if you have not had an orange crush- you must get on that love boat) all in all a pretty awesome day.

I found the dress at Betsy Robinson, a great place in b-more that has a ton to choose from without being overly annoying – we also had the BEST bridal helper- she kept both mom and aunt mary inline- so I had to get a picture with her!
